Time flies - Mindy Boo

Updated: Nov 18, 2019

In a blink of an eye, it’s the end of my internship.

What I liked most during my time at Stryker was the trust that was placed on interns. Every task given was meaningful for both the firm and me. Even though these projects are major for the firm, I have been given the flexibility to manage them. This was done through striking a balance between both macro and micro management, and stepping in whenever support was needed. Through this internship, I was able to learn many new skills. These skills include analytical skills, Excel skills and communication skills. I learned while I was building tools for financial analysis and presenting about it.

However, it wasn’t just these learning opportunities that attracted me to Stryker. The people at Stryker as a whole are another main reason. I remember being shocked by the culture that Stryker’s community has. It started with the connectedness among the people and shows through the open-mindedness for changes or improvements. There were plenty of chances for us to bond as Stryker mates, with events or community service activities that hold us together as one.

I truly enjoyed this internship and can’t wait to be back!
