      Engineering Internships

Engineer interns are passionate, engaged, and results-driven individuals who like to make a difference in people’s lives!  At Stryker it is our privilege to create medical technology that exceeds our customers’ expectations and improves peoples’ lives around the world.

Quality Engineering –

  • With the quality of our products being of the utmost importance, the position of Quality Engineer provides a great opportunity for a detail orientated candidate. Problem solving, the development of effective systems, utilization of statistics, and risk assessment are just some of the skills that are used in these roles.

Manufacturing Engineering –

  • Manufacturing Engineering roles give the candidate an opportunity to make an immediate impact on the production of our world class products. Test Engineering –

  • Test Engineers will design, develop, implement, and validate test methods of testing and troubleshooting products (in order to catch failures, ensure the quality of the product). A Test Engineer will support identification of customer/user needs through benchmarking, session based testing and user experience evaluation.

Product Development –

  • R&D Engineers work on the front lines developing and creating our next generation of products. Engineers in these roles are directly involved in multiple facets of the product development process. Everything from prototype creation, testing and verification, and product launch is covered within these roles.       Human Resources Internships

HR interns are talented people who help us find the best candidates for our company! On our Human Resources team you will guide, develop and drive the most talented people in the world. Human Resources –

  • The focus of interns in this role will be to assist the HR representatives with day-to-day responsibilities that are crucial to our operations. People in this role will be required to engage with employees at various levels of the organization and prove themselves to be a valuable resource to anyone that has HR related questions or issues. Some of the responsibilities include presentations on current projects, employee processing, planning employee events and training, and developing an understanding of different departments. Recruiting/Sourcing/Candidate Care –

  • The recruiting intern will operate as part of our world class candidate care team. The will work with recruiters to facilitate sourcing, interviewing, and ultimately bringing diverse talent to the Stryker team. Some of the responsibilities include scheduling on-site interviews, making travel arrangements, greeting candidates as they arrive for their interview, sourcing, and inputting data within our applicant tracking system. University Relations –

  • The intern in this role will be responsible for supporting the University Relations team through database management, marketing, social media, and event planning. This work is very important in attracting top talent to Stryker. The ability to communicate effectively, network, and b ring creative ideas are essential in this role.

      Finance and Accounting                  Internships

Finance and Accounting interns are responsible, detailed oriented, and have a numbers background. At Stryker, we’re committed to quality in our products, service and financial results. As part of our finance and accounting team, you are responsible for maintaining internal control procedures, financial statement reporting and providing sound financial analyses that drive optimal business-decision making. You’ll work side by side with operations, R&D, marketing, and sales, just to name a few, to analyze and find solutions to complex business scenarios. You will have a direct impact on the products we deliver to our customers and the financial results that create value for our shareholders.       Sales and Marketing                        Internships

Sales and Marketing interns have personalities that thrive by learning firsthand what drives a marketplace and pushes innovation to the next level!  You will travel around the nation to support and educate surgeons and sales teams on Stryker products and initiatives. Do you strive for a job with complete autonomy and an environment where your compensation is performance based? Stryker’s sales team has a career for you! You will provide solutions to assist Stryker customers in the continuum of care for their patients, being there for our customers and offering best-in-class service backed by our industry leading technology. Marketing and sales teams will work together to use their expertise in the healthcare industry to drive top-line revenue.        Supply Chain Internships

Supply Chain interns will get a picture of what it’s like to be in a highly visible and extremely engaging career in purchasing, production planning and supply chain development.  We need talented people to manage a multi-million dollar business with suppliers, lead initiatives to drive supply base optimization, managing relationships and negotiations with suppliers around the world.  As part of our supply chain group, you will lead cross-functional teams around strategic sourcing and supplier development, collaborating with sales and marketing to develop forecasts, driving efficiencies  in our production planning process, and much more.

 

Purchasing –

  • At the heart of these roles is the scheduling, management, and monitoring of production and supplies to meet customer requirements. Interns that are placed within these roles will obtain materials and components that are essential to our business while paying special attention to the needs of our customers. Developing records, managing inventory levels, negotiating, and supplier management are just some of the responsibilities.

Buyer-

  • The primary focus of the buyer is to procure materials needed to fulfill production requirements. An intern in this role will assist in this by managing our lean initiatives, maintaining our purchase order system, driving supplier improvement, and consulting with people at our facilities. Interns assigned to this role will learn valuable communication skills as well as get practical knowledge in a fast paced environment.

       Specialty Programs

Regulatory Affairs Internship-

  • Stryker’s Regulatory Affairs  Intern will participate in New Product Development meetings to gain an overview of the design and development steps and regulatory strategy to bring new product to market. They will also assist with authoring United States and European Union submissions and providing input on international regulatory submissions to the FDA and global regulatory bodies. And most excitingly, RA interns will learn how to represent Stryker products to government authorities/reviewers and build the case for their safety and performance in order to bring new technologies to patients. Information Services (IS) Internship-

  • Stryker IS interns are individually focused on different functions of the IS organization including the GIO organizations which are the IS teams that act as trusted advisers to business in all areas pertaining to IS and technology to help the divisions achieve their strategic goals. Some will also align to the Infrastructure Services team focused on providing IS infrastructure on which Stryker can drive its global business with minimal business disruptions. Lastly, there are some interns that will be included in the ERP team of IS which assists the divisions and enterprise to achieve business efficiencies through business process automation. Regardless of the area of focus, all IS interns are a member of an organization that makes healthcare better by providing excellent services and innovative technologies for Stryker.
